One of the greatest transformations of our time faces a critical challenge: a significant shortage of skilled workers. While the expansion of renewable energy and greentech innovations is advancing, the people who can accelerate this important transformation are missing.
When we took a closer look at the job market, we noticed a paradox: While unemployment numbers in traditional industries are rising sharply, the shortage of skilled workers in future industries such as renewable energy is intensifying at the same time.
There are countless job platforms and portals – over 1,000 in Germany alone. The digital market is highly fragmented and becoming increasingly confusing. Companies are scattered across the most diverse platforms, as are job seekers. The result: Supply and demand do not find each other optimally. That's why we took a closer look at job platforms and examined the problem more closely.

Die Konsequenz: While companies are desperately searching for skilled workers, on the other side people can't find jobs or don't know where they can contribute. This double inefficiency not only slows down the energy transition and green transformation but also harms the entire economy.
Why conventional job portals often fall short:
Conventional job platforms match exclusively based on existing skills. Additionally, there are structural deficiencies: Large portals are too generic and rely on superficial keyword matching without industry expertise. Specialized portals have focus but are technologically outdated – mostly just job listings without intelligent matching.
The result: Supply and demand don't find each other optimally due to fragmentation – and even when both are on the same platform, poor matching fails to connect them. Career changers with transferable competencies fall through the cracks. Candidates receive no skills gap analysis, no training tips, no perspectives – only rejections.
